LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30 1984) was an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The nickname is King James he is widely thought to be one of the best athletes of all time. He is often compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player in history. James has been awarded four NBA championships four NBA MVP awards four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James is the player with the most points during the playoffs, and has the second highest number of career points and is the seventh player with the most career assists. He has been selected as an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times and for his place on the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. In total, he has played in more than 10 NBA Finals, the third-most in history. The streak spans eight consecutive years between 2011 and 2018. In 2021 James was chosen to join the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 he became the first athlete to ever in NBA history to score 10,000 or more career points rebounds and assists. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High School, which is located in his hometown from Akron Ohio and was heavily touted by the national media as a future NBA superstar. To prepare for the pro game his dream, his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers chose him as the first pick overall in the NBA draft in 2003. In 2004, he was named NBA Rookie. Then, he quickly became one of league's top players and was awarded the NBA MVP title in both the years 2009 and 2010. James signed for the Miami Heat in 2010 when he became a Free Agent following his inability to win the title with Cleveland. The announcement was made on The Decision.
