Olivia Isabel Rodrigo was born on February 20th in 2003. She is an American actor, singer, and producer. Her performances as High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' lead role earned her recognition in late 2010. Rodrigo's first single, "Drivers License", was released by Interscope Records and Geffen in 2020. It broke many records and was one of the most-sold songs of 2021. It helped propel her to mainstream success. Following the singles "Deja Vu", as well as "Good 4 U", Rodrigo released her first solo album Sour (2021) with great commercial and critical success. She won three Grammy Awards. In 2022, a Disney+ documentary called Olivia Rodrigo: Drive Home 2 U was released that chronicles her creative process in the making of Sour. Rodrigo has scored two Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles as well as a Billboard 200 number-one album, and five multi-Platinum certifications by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In addition to other accolades, she was awarded an American Music Award as well as seven Billboard Music Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, and an American Music Award. Time named her 2021 Entertainer-of-the Year, while Billboard declared her Woman of The Year in 2022. Olivia Isabel Rodrigo was conceived at Rancho Springs Medical Center Murrieta in California to Jennifer Rodrigo and Chris Rodrigo. Her birthplace was Temecula. Rodrigo is Filipino American. Rodrigo's father is Filipino, is her father. Her mother is German- and Irish-ancestry. Her paternal great-grandfather, Rodrigo, moved from the Philippines as a teenager to the United States. She also said that her family is Filipino and adheres to Filipino cuisine and traditions. Rodrigo began singing lessons in kindergarten, and soon began playing the piano. [12] She started taking acting and singing classes at age six and began acting in theater productions in elementary school. Rodrigo began playing guitar when she was 12. 12 years old, Rodrigo was a child who was a fan of alternative rock music as a kid, like Pearl Jam, No Doubt or Green Day. Rodrigo began to take in country music, and especially Taylor Swift. 14 years ago, she moved to Los Angeles after landing her role in Bizaardvark.
